The 5 Seas Initiative - valubale project on island Vis

MEP Tonino Picula presented his "Water Saving Challenge" project on island Vis. The goal is to preserve water and promote islands and island life. The country partner in the project is Sweden.

"Since Vis is one of those Croatian islands that has done a great deal in relation to water monitoring and usage, we decided to hold a three-day conference in Komiža, which I can in some way call the "Five Seas Initiative", said Picula.

The conference gathered representatives of eight different islands from four European countries. Picula called the conference "The Five Seas Initiative" because representatives of eight islands from five seas by combining their experience, will try to "help others who suffer from water scarcity," Picula explained.
